Force Motors posts Q3 profit on strong demand for passenger vehicles

India’s Force Motors reported a fourth straight quarterly profit on Monday, helped by strong demand for its multi-seater passenger vehicles that are also used as school buses and ambulances, sending its shares up 5%.

The company, which also makes engines for BMW and Mercedes cars in India, posted a consolidated net profit of 854 million rupees ($10.3 million) in the third quarter, compared with a year-ago loss of 155.9 million rupees.

HAL posts higher quarterly profit on aircraft demand, inventory gain

India’s Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) reported a 9% rise in third-quarter profit on Monday, helped by aircraft demand from the defence sector and an inventory-related gain.

Consolidated net profit came in at 12.61 billion rupees ($151.92 million) for the three months ended Dec. 31, the state-owned aerospace and defence company said in a filing.

Atmastco’s Rs 56 crore IPO to open on Feb 15

Engineering, procurement and construction firm Atmastco Ltd on Monday said it will raise a little over Rs 56 crore through an initial public offering that will open for subscription on February 15. Post the completion of the Initial Public Offering (IPO), shares of the Bhilai- headquartered company will be listed on the National Stock Exchange’s Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) platform — NSE Emerge.

The company’s IPO is a combination of fresh issue of 54.8 lakh equity and an Offer For Sale (OFS) of 18.25 lakh shares with a fixed price of Rs 77 apiece, according to a statement.

Crypto Price on February 12: Bitcoin holds above $48,000; Solana, Avalanche shed up to 4%

The cryptocurrency markets were trading marginally lower in Monday’s trade after Bitcoin hit the 48,000 mark over the weekend. The global cryptocurrency market cap fell 0.8% to around $1.8 trillion in the last 24 hours.

At 11:50 a.m., Bitcoin was trading 0.14% lower at $48,128, while Ethereum was down 1.15% at $2,498.

India bond yields dip before key inflation prints

Indian government bond yields trended marginally lower in early trading on Monday as the focus shifted to local as well as U.S. inflation prints due this week, while state debt supply undershot estimates yet again.

India’s benchmark 10-year yield was at 7.0939% as of 10:00 a.m. IST, following its previous close of 7.1067%. The yield rose 5 basis points (bps) last week, the most since the week ended Jan. 5.
